O ano já começou aqui na Nyota, e com ele, novo lançamento para iniciarmos com muito estudo e aprendizados.
A obra "Encruzilhadas históricas e culturais", o novo livro organizado por Claudia Mortari, Luisa Wittmann e Tathiana Cassiano, da Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (UDESC) foi lançado pelo selo Nyota no dia 1º de março de 2024.
Nessa oportunidade, participaram as organizadoras e algumas das incríveis pessoas autoras que contribuíram com seus capítulos. Elas compartilharam suas experiências, reflexões e perspectivas sobre este trabalho decolonial.
"Encruzilhadas históricas e culturais" é uma obra que nasce das encruzilhadas de pessoas plurais, engajadas em diferentes instituições educacionais, movimentos artísticos e sociais, na luta contra o racismo, o patriarcado e o capitalismo. Esse livro representa um espaço de reflexão teórica e ação prática, onde a decolonialidade é abordada como uma força de mudança.
O objetivo principal da obra é romper com os cânones ocidentais e coloniais, questionando as estruturas de racismo epistêmico, a necropolítica e os epistemicídios. A decolonização do conhecimento e da sociedade é um processo que requer uma atitude decolonial de orientação combativa e emancipatória, enraizada em nossas ancestrais.
